Chapter 5: Detention of Traveler's Baggage
5.1 Filling of Detained Receipts
5.2 Release of Detained Goods

When detained goods or baggage is claimed, the traveler must produce the original copy of the detained receipt. The proper officer will endorse in the space provided on the detained receipt the authority for delivery for home consumption or export as the case may be, and as appropriate.

When goods require special examination, the report of that special examination must be endorsed on the receipt together with a signed statement of the proper officer of customs to this effect.

The detained receipt form bearing the endorsement regarding the examination and payment of duty will then be stuck in its proper place in the Detained Receipt Book.
The Supervisor of the station must record in a book all "Receipt Books" in use at the station.
